Pain Relief Laser Therapy:
Clinical Applications and Healing Effects

This is a two-hour class that covers some of the important concepts of therapeutic laser and phototherapy. It is designed to aid the clinician in gaining the information necessary to evaluate the desirability and relevance of cold laser therapy as a possible healing modality for their practice. In this course the following topics will be covered:
- History and basic principles of laser therapy
- Brief review of research literature
- Overview of each type of laser diode in common clinical use, their similarities and their differences
- Review of the dynamic healing qualities of both laser and non-laser light therapy (phototherapy)
- Introduction to treatment protocols including live demonstrations
- Insurance billing codes
